Boston, MA - October 18, 2007 - Strategy Analytics analyst, Stuart Robinson, will keynote the prestigious annual Lithium Mobile Power 2007 conference in San Diego on October 29, 2007. In a speech entitled, "Cellphone Energy Gap: Myth or Reality," Mr. Robinson will address industry leaders regarding the energy needs of cellphones.
The technology that permits cellphones to be used as cameras as well as shopping devices, gaming devices and email centers requires energy from lithium-ion batteries. These demands have propelled the lithium-ion battery market into an impressively strong position in the marketplace. Now there is a question of how much power is required from cellphone batteries. Drawing upon Strategy Analytics end-user research, combined with analysis of the power consumption trends of critical cellphone components, Mr. Robinson, Director of the Handset Components Technologies service at Strategy Analytics, will open the Lithium Mobile Power 2007 Conference in San Diego.
