Acceptance of UK Mobile Navigation Apps Emerging
Mobility and Integration Key Factors
Boston, MA - 7 January 2009 - The Strategy Analytics Wireless Device Lab service shows that acceptance of mobile device-based navigation applications is growing among consumers in the UK, according to research in "UK Navigation: Mobile Devices Can Compete With PNDs."
These findings are based on in-depth one-on-one research sessions in London, England in which consumers experienced two high-end PNDs as well as Nokia Maps and Vodafone Navigator.
"Strategy Analytics research shows that consumers preferred Vodafone Navigator by Telmap over both PNDs in terms of usability," commented Chris Schreiner, Senior User Experience Analyst at Strategy Analytics. "As touchscreen-enabled mobile devices become common, more consumers will be drawn to mobile devices for their navigation needs."
Kevin Nolan, Vice President of the Strategy Analytics User Experience Practice, added, "Mobility and integration are two key factors that drive consumers toward a mobile device-based navigation solution."
