BAE Systems Expands Global Footprint in Defense Industry
Looking beyond Europe and North America for Growth beyond 2009
Boston, MA - July 30, 2009 – The growing global presence of BAE Systems in the defense industry, and implications for their growth, are examined in “Defense Industry Profiles: BAE Systems Expands UK Presence in Global Defense Markets,” the first in a series of Strategy Analytics reports profiling the major players in the defense industry.
BAE Systems has a full order book with additional orders in prospect and continues to build up its assets and regional growth prospects through acquisition. It has demonstrated consistent growth over the 2004 – 2006 timeframe. While profitability was hit in 2007, year-on-year performance improved again in 2008. The period 2008-09 has turned into another interesting year for BAE Systems, as well as its recently appointed new CEO, Ian King.
