Mobile Broadband Offerings Reveal the Expected Usage Levels
Boston, MA - September 20, 2011 – An
analysis of European Mobile Broadband Tariffs from the Strategy Analytics Mobile Broadband Price Benchmarking service, “
Mobile Broadband Usage Expectation,” indicates widely different levels of usage in different markets. Mobile Broadband tariffs for laptops and tablets show some regional differences, as seen in the average levels of data allowances offered by operators. The apparent usage expectations are at their lowest in France, Spain, Portugal and the BeNeLux countries. In Nordic countries, as well as Poland, Ireland and Austria, operators clearly expect a much higher Mobile Broadband traffic demand.
Author, Halvor Sannaes, says, “Even though operators do not publish actual Mobile Broadband usage data, tariff structure appears to indicate the kinds of usage that operators expect from their customer base.”
