SingTel,
Tata Communications and Telstra Leading Asia Pacific Regional Service Providers
in Enterprise Mobility
Boston, MA - September 4, 2012 –The enterprise mobility market in Asia Pacific is
driven by high growth rates in the underlying economies of the region. Both
domestic enterprises and multi-national companies (MNCs) are benefiting from
this growth, and require sophisticated telecoms services to support their
businesses. According to the Strategy Analytics Mobile Workforce Strategies
(MWS) report, “Telecom Service Providers' Enterprise Mobility
Service Offerings in Asia Pacific” workers in Asia Pacific are highly mobile,
and the increasing importance of Asia Pacific-headquartered
MNC’s is encouraging higher enterprise
mobility investment in the region.
“Businesses identify service providers
(SPs) with a strong presence in major markets or with significant regional
presence as their main providers for mobility services. SingTel, Tata
Communications, and Telstra are among the leading providers of mobility
services for MNC’s and local businesses in Asia Pacific. These services include international roaming,
remote access, mobile security services, FMC/mobile UC, cloud computing, managed
mobility, and mobilizing data applications. The SPs also have sales and
technical teams in all major markets in the region and are relatively
successful in building their service availability through alliances and
partnerships,” said Gina Luk, Senior Analyst of Mobile Workforce Strategies(MWS)
at Strategy Analytics, and
author of the report.
“We also see NTT Communications, South
Korea Telecom, China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom as key players in the region winning
significant MNC and local businesses expansion deals for mobility services, and
their potential to leverage the expansion plans of businesses regionally and
internationally is substantial ,” added Andrew Brown, Director of Enterprise Research
at Strategy Analytics.
