Peter King, Director of the Tablet & Touchscreen Strategies (TTS) Service, focuses on strategic issues relating to the impact of Smart Mobile Devices, both for mobility and in the home. His product specialities include Tablets, where he focuses on market sizing, portfolio development and ecosystem development. He previously was Director of the Connected Home Devices (CHD) service for 10 years prior to launching TTS.
He assesses revenue opportunities from all aspects of the Tablet ecosystem and is responsible for providing quantitative and qualitative analysis, insight and recommendations to Tablet and CE vendors, handset vendors, component makers, investment banks, PC suppliers, software vendors, mobile and fixed Operators and media firms worldwide.
Mr King has spent his entire career in the computer, communications and consumer electronics industries. He spent 22 years in the computer industry and was CEO of Europe’s first chain of computer stores. This was followed by 3 years in the communications sector marketing consumer solutions. Prior to becoming an analyst he spent 11 years in the consumer electronics industry including a 6 year spell working with Sony. His broad experience encompasses roles as an Industry Analyst, management consultant, manufacturer, distributor and retailer. |
