As Managing Consultant, Tom Elliott is responsible for conducting proprietary projects assessing market potential, examining competitive positioning, evaluating product feature/functionality and developing business strategies in a wide range of technology areas for a global client base.
Previously, as Director for the Emerging Markets Communications Strategies service, he provided Strategy Analytics clients with information on mobile communications services, device trends, consumer requirements, competitor strategies and regulatory developments in high growth emerging markets.
A founding member of the Strategy Analytics team, Tom was previously employed by IDC as Director of Research and by Gulf Oil as a corporate planning manager.
With 30 years’ experience in the analysis of technology markets, Tom brings a unique perspective on the issues of communications in both the industrialized and developing worlds. His ongoing research areas include mobile payments, mHealth, and digital inclusion.
Tom holds an AB from Harvard College, an SM (Mgt) from the MIT Sloan School of Management, and a PhD from the University of Michigan.
