As Director of Mobility, Kevin Burden draws on more than 20 years of experience analyzing markets for mobile and wireless technologies to assess the impact of mobility on the enterprise. His strategic and quantitative assessments centers on key corporate mobile initiatives including cloud computing, mobile device adoption and management, extending line-of-business applications and M2M. He is also a member of SA’s Wireless Devices research group, delivering qualitative insights as the industry continues to expand to new markets with new device types and platforms.
His previous experience includes serving as VP of Mobile Devices at ABI Research and as Senior Manager of Mobile Devices at Nielsen Mobile, a division of the Nielsen Company, where he was responsible for consulting services and regular business reviews with the company's device manufacturer clients. Prior to that, he spent seven years at IDC as Program Manager, Mobile & Wireless Markets, leading a team of US-based analysts focused on mobile devices and enterprise mobility.
Kevin also spent ten years at one of the computer industry's most respected and leading weekly newspapers, Computerworld. As the publication's senior features writer, he covered numerous technology fields, focusing how corporations use technology to meet corporate goals.
Kevin has been quoted in many of the world's foremost business and technology publications including The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Time, Forbes, the Boston Globe and Investor’s Business Daily. He has spoken at many of the most important industry events including CES, CTIA, and Mobile World Congress.
He holds a BA in Economics from Framingham University. |
