As Director for the Automotive Consumer Insights service, Chris Schreiner leads a service that covers all aspects of the consumer’s interaction with navigation, infotainment and communication inside the vehicle. Chris’s areas of interest also include speech interfaces and driver distraction.

Chris has been in the forefront of examining the user experience in the mobile and automotive environments, and has over 25 peer-reviewed and invited publications. Chris has over 10 years of experience in human factors research, and holds a M.A. degree in Cognitive Psychology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Prior to joining Strategy Analytics in 2008, Chris was a Sr. Human Factors Engineer at Motorola Labs where he managed usability testing and conducted research on prototype mobile device applications. He has also worked as a Human Factors Engineer at OnStar where he led research on driver distraction and designed voice user interfaces for in-vehicle products. He began his career as a Research Associate at the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute, conducting human factors studies on in-vehicle technologies. Chris has also owned his own consulting firm.
