Asia Puts Broadcast Industry on Road to Recovery, say D. I. S. Consulting and Strategy Analytics
Global Revenue Growth Of 5% Predicted For 2010
New York, NY - March 30, 2010 – Strategy Analytics and D. I. S. Consulting have announced their forecast for a strong recovery in 2010 across most product genres in the broadcast and professional sector, as the industry begins to make up for the deep losses experienced in 2009. These results will be presented at Strategy Analytics’ Analyst Breakfast during this year’s NAB Show in Las Vegas, on Tuesday April 13, 2010.
According to Douglas I. Sheer, CEO and Chief Analyst of D. I. S. "The recovery is on in earnest and the average growth in 2010 ~ industry-wide ~ is expected to exceed 5% with some product genres doing better and a few still dipping into losses. On a segment basis, we see the most growth likely in institutional sub-segments like educational, governmental and medical. And, regionally, Asia-Pacific, particularly China and India, will lead with growth at or above 10%. The Americas, including Canada ~ but not including the USA ~ will also remain strong."
